Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone -
I just wanted to write and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Monarch Kids will be closed tomorrow and Friday and as much as I love all of my kids, I'm very excited for a couple of days off:)

Cold!

Hello there -
If you live in the area, you know how extremely frigid it has been the past week! While we haven't been able to play outside due to the negative degree temperatures, that hasn't stopped our fun at Monarch Kids!

This past week we've done many fun activities such as swimming at the Castle Rock Recreation Center (the water felt great!), storytime at different libraries and fun crafts revolving around our theme this week which has been monsters. Next week we'll be going to the Children's Museum in Denver. I've never been there before and am really looking forward to exploring with the kids. Our arts and crafts theme next week is winter. Tuesday will be super fun as the kids and I will be making a gingerbread house. This is also another first for me - so I'll be sure to keep you all posted on how it goes:)
